Founder & AttorneyMatthew D. Ory is the founder of Ory Law Group, a personal injury law firm serving clients across South Louisiana from offices in Thibodaux, Houma, and New Iberia. With over 18 years of legal experience since earning his Juris Doctorate in 2007, Matthew has built a strong reputation as a skilled trial attorney known for his strategic courtroom approach and dedication to client communication. Matthew's philosophy centers on taking a focused caseload, allowing his team to devote thorough attention to every detail and maintain close contact with each client throughout the legal process. This client-first approach enables Ory Law Group to deliver strong results across personal injury, workers' compensation, insurance claims, criminal defense, and wills and successions matters. A graduate of Loyola University School of Law and Nicholls State University (cum laude), Matthew is a member of the American Bar Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and both the Terrebonne and Lafourche Bar Associations. He received the Law Excellence Award for achieving the top grade in Business Organizations. Deeply rooted in his community, Matthew serves as president of the Colonel Athletic Association and the Louisiana Baseball Academy, and co-founded the nonprofit ThiboGrow. He is the grandson of Clarence C. "Taddy" Aycock, former Louisiana Lt. Governor.
